Builders Alliance is a building materials distributor serving the professional builder and those who want to be treated like one. Beyond covering the northwest counties of Washington State, our business also reaches internationally. In the past year we have shipped containers of building materials to jobsites in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines and Dubai.

The company was founded in 1913 as "Sash & Door," starting business as a manufacturer of wooden sashes and doors (hence the name). Since that time, the store has grown to become a focal point of Whatcom County's homebuilding and home improvement efforts. The name was changed to Builders Alliance in March of 1998 to reflect our continued service to the professional building community.

In fact, our inventory selection, facility design and team members are entirely focused on the needs of those people who are constructing homes and commercial buildings, as well as on those who have similar needs-including owner/builders, shop workers or industrial and commercial manufacturing managers.

We're happy to special order any item you won't find in our 10,000 item inventory. In fact, 20 percent of our business is special orders! We'll source and find what you need for your next project.

We're also introducing an on-line internet ordering system. You can hop onto your computer any time of the day or night, send your order in and we'll have it ready for you when you need it. It's all designed to make it faster and easier than ever for you to get what you need on the job site.

By the way, our facility covers 4.5 acres and our inventory is protected from the weather by 76,000 sq. ft. of covered storage utilizing 24-ft. high cantilever and pallet racking. Our capacity is over 1 million board feet of lumber and 1 million sq. ft. of sheet goods.
