Primary Function of this Position
Builders Alliance in Sedro Woolley is hiring for a Yard Associate! Come join a hard working team of lumber and building material experts!
The primary function of this position is to load and unload materials within the lumber yard and warehouse, assisting customers in the yard find their material. All tasks will be completed in a safe and timely manner, while maintaining a courteous and professional behavior.
The ideal candidate is:
- A customer-service oriented individual
- Experienced operating forklifts and other loading equipment, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years of experience in retail; lumber experience strongly preferred
- Must have exceptional customer service skills and experience
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Build, stage and load all trucks according to daily schedules and pick lists
- Operates forklift and other loading equipment safely
- Maintain strong product knowledge
- Verify all material and quantities are correct before allowing customer to leave
